The Curio program encourages kids, teens, and young adults to learn how to save money and build strong financial habits firsthand through an interactive tool available in Online Banking and the Jovia Mobile app. Curio allows parents to assign tasks to young savers and financially reward them for successfully completing tasks, and making good financial decisions by easily transferring money from their own Jovia account to their child’s.

Parents can also lend their child money, pay them an allowance, and send them spending money through this simple tool.

Kids ages 11 to 17, can open a Jovia checking account. It is a great way to teach your child the basics of sound money management. There is no minimum to open with a free set of checks and a Visa® Debit Card.

Please note that a parent, legal guardian, or adult family member must be joint on the account for children 17 years old and younger.

Youth Savings Account requires $5 initial deposit. Minimum balance to earn APY is based on a 30-day month. A parent, legal guardian, or an adult member of the child's family must be a joint owner on the Youth Savings Account, the Jovia Checking Account, and/or Visa® Debit Card for minors under 18. Youth Savings Account will automatically convert to a Share account when the minor reaches 18 years of age.

Curio is an interactive tool for children under 18 and their parent/guardian, available in Jovia Online Banking and the Jovia Mobile app. The use of Curio requires enrollment by a parent or legal guardian and consent to receive text notifications. By accessing Curio, you are acknowledging your acceptance of CURIO AGREEMENT AND DISCLOSURE, our COPPA PRIVACY POLICY, PRIVACY POLICY and our COPPA DIRECT NOTICE DOCUMENT. You agree that our third-party service may call and/or send text messages (including by using equipment to automatically dial telephone numbers) to the number you provided when you registered and/or have otherwise provided to use in connection with Curio for purposes of responding to your interest in using Curio, notification for outstanding tasks/ chores or inactive users, for marketing/sales purposes, or for any other servicing or informational purpose related to your account. You can cancel the SMS at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you.

1 Requires enrollment. Business accounts aren't eligible for Stash My Cash. All debit card signature or pin based transactions qualify. ATM transactions are not eligible. Transfers will occur at the end of the day on the day the debit card transaction has posted to your account. The round up transfer will only occur if there are enough funds in the account. Any transfer made from a SafetyLine to cover a debit card transaction will not include a round up transfer.
